Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and operational health of a business domain or significant application area.
- Lead complex initiatives from requirements and design through implementation, release, and production stabilization.
- Make independent technical decisions and balance speed, quality, security, performance, and cost.
- Define and improve coding, testing, code review, CI/CD, configuration management, observability, and incident response practices.
- Partner with product, architecture, security, platform, and engineering teams to resolve dependencies and deliver outcomes.
- Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to technical reviews, knowledge sharing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and analysis while validating outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 5-8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Experience owning complex production systems and providing technical leadership beyond an individual module or feature.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, React, TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB.
- Experience with cloud-native application development, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven integration patterns, Git, automated testing, code quality, and secure development practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira.
- Preferred experience with Python, Node.js, OpenAPI/Swagger, infrastructure as code, observability platforms, and defining SLAs/SLOs.
