Responsibilities
- Develop software for the QPU simulation software stack and support quantum processing unit simulations.
- Develop and maintain IQM simulation software tools, including the open-source KQCircuits project and in-house software.
- Maintain the development environment, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and the test framework.
- Support team members with software development and participate in code and design reviews.
- Coordinate backlogs, teamwork, meetings, and issue-based collaborative workflows.
- Collaborate with Design and Simulations, Modeling and Dynamics, internal teams, external stakeholders, and the open-source community.
- Help define simulation interfaces and data compatibility requirements.
- Respond to community questions and issues and participate in relevant conferences, hackathons, and EU project events.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with clear responsibilities in software engineering or software development.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Some understanding of, or willingness to learn about, quantum physics, QPU simulations, and electromagnetics.
- Ability to solve problems, learn independently or collaboratively, and support a positive team culture.
- Attention to detail and a focus on high-quality workflows and continuous improvement.
- Experience with artificial intelligence, optimization, or high-performance computing languages such as Fortran or C is beneficial.
