Senior Developer-Python (Test Automation)

Responsibilities
- Write and maintain Python-based automated lab test software for regression, characterization, and related tooling.
- Drive lab equipment and devices under test through software interfaces and debug failures across test software, lab runs, and data pipelines.
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large test datasets to identify trends, outliers, and patterns.
- Ingest and store test results in Elasticsearch and relational databases and build visualizations and dashboards in Kibana.
- Review code, document setup and results, and communicate findings to technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in test automation, lab or hardware software, or data pipelines, with strong Python skills; application-only development experience is insufficient.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in Python and experience driving lab equipment or devices under test through interfaces such as gRPC or serial communication.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing complex real-world datasets and hands-on Elasticsearch and Kibana experience, including ingestion, querying, and dashboard building.
- Experience with relational databases, Git, and Linux environments, including managing long-running jobs on shared machines.
- Clear written communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Perforce, Jenkins or similar CI tools, C/C++ code reading, pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, and basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
