Responsibilities
- Ensure products conform to business requirements, company policies, software quality standards, procedures, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Design, document, and implement testing procedures, techniques, test plans, test cases, test data, progress reports, release reports, turnover documents, and schedules.
- Develop functional automated tests and maintain automated regression test suites.
- Create functional and integration API-layer tests and evaluate software and business risk, accuracy, completeness, internal integrity, testability, and overall quality.
- Submit, track, reproduce, and regress defects throughout the SDLC, including production and release issues.
- Support release management by validating release readiness and coordinating go/no-go testing decisions.
- Use agentic engineering and AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design, automation, defect triage, code review, and root-cause analysis.
- Recommend and assist with corrective actions throughout the product life cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field from an accredited in-person, not-for-profit university or college.
- At least 5 years of industry experience as a software quality assurance test engineer and at least 5 years of functional testing experience are preferred.
- Experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Strong SQL and relational database design knowledge, including proficiency writing T-SQL queries.
- Experience testing mission-critical relational database applications and web-based enterprise systems.
- Ability to write software for functional automated tests using recognized design patterns and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Postman for API testing and debugging and experience creating functional/integration API-layer tests.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, deliverables, processes, strategies, metrics, techniques, and the SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with Chrome Debugger, Datadog, and Log Rocket for testing and debugging.
- Preferred experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks, CI/CD pipeline integration, performance/load testing, accessibility standards, OWASP Top 10, Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is preferred.
