Base Salary
$171k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams on security fixes and secure design improvements while contributing code directly.
- Investigate findings, assess their practical impact, and provide evidence and potential solutions to responsible teams.
- Build and maintain the application security program and its tooling, using AI to scale investigations while validating results.
- Develop automation and integrate preventative security controls into the software development lifecycle.
- Threat model systems, explain technical risks and tradeoffs, and collaborate with engineers on practical solutions.
Requirements
- Substantial experience building and maintaining production software with strong programming, debugging, and system design skills.
- Ability to investigate unfamiliar codebases, understand system behavior, and reason about potential misuse.
- Experience delivering technical work across teams in a large or complex engineering organization.
- Experience building developer tooling, automation, or software development lifecycle integrations.
- Practical experience using AI for technical work, with the judgment to validate outputs and explain the reasoning behind them.
- Experience with C, C++, Go, Python, JavaScript, and web frameworks.
- Preferred experience with application or product security, including code audits, secure design reviews, threat modeling, or vulnerability investigation.
- Preferred experience building or maintaining cloud and embedded systems, safety-critical or autonomous vehicle software, or production AI-assisted security tooling.
