Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate enterprise Splunk-based observability platforms with unified metrics, logging, tracing, and OpenTelemetry standards.
- Engineer and govern Terraform or Pulumi infrastructure-as-code platforms, including modules, state management, policy-as-code, drift detection, and AWS/GCP coverage.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions and ArgoCD CI/CD and GitOps infrastructure and operate the Backstage internal developer portal.
- Own ServiceNow workflow automation, CMDB reconciliation, PagerDuty/OpsGenie integrations, and automated incident-management pipelines.
- Develop LLM-powered runbook automation and agentic ITSM workflows using foundation-model integrations, orchestration frameworks, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Implement AI-powered alert correlation and noise reduction and design RAG architectures backed by vector databases.
- Engineer HashiCorp Vault secret-management infrastructure, including dynamic secrets, PKI automation, and Kubernetes authentication.
- Mentor engineers, establish platform engineering standards, drive tooling roadmaps, and act as the highest technical escalation point for platform and AI tooling issues.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required, including stated experience in agentic orchestration; the posting also describes a 12–15+ year platform, tools, or infrastructure engineering background.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Required capabilities include Splunk administration and observability, ITSI and event management, Splunk architecture/design, SIEM, OpenTelemetry, ELK/Splunk pipelines, and distributed tracing.
- Advanced Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible/Chef, policy-as-code, drift detection, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, ServiceNow, CMDB integration, PagerDuty/OpsGenie connectivity, Backstage, and HashiCorp Vault experience are required.
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, LLMOps, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop orchestration is required.
- Advanced Python experience for platform tooling, LLM SDK integration, infrastructure automation, and API development is required.
- Mandatory certifications include Terraform Associate or Professional, Splunk Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or GCP DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and HashiCorp Vault Associate.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, SOX, and DORA compliance requirements is required.
- Preferred experience includes Crossplane, eBPF observability with Cilium/Pixie/Hubble, GPU and model-serving infrastructure with Triton or vLLM, MLflow, and platform engineering or SRE consulting in financial services.
