Responsibilities
- Design declarative GitOps CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and GitHub Actions with SAST, DAST, container scanning, dependency scanning, and SBOM generation.
- Automate cATO and governance requirements through policy-as-code, continuous compliance gates, pipeline attestation, and real-time visibility.
- Author hardened Docker container definitions, remediate CVEs, automate OpenSCAP and STIG validation, and support Iron Bank and Repo One certification.
- Architect and refactor microservices using Go, Python, Java, or Rust.
- Build automated unit, integration, and contract tests for mission-critical software.
- Administer and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux and automate infrastructure with Ansible, Bash, and Python.
- Support secure software delivery across defense cloud environments and comply with DoDI 8430, DoD modernization, CNSSI, and cATO requirements.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, systems engineering, or a related industry role.
- Hands-on experience administering and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Proven experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Strong Bash and Python scripting skills.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience integrating SAST, DAST, or container scanning into automated pipelines.
- Preferred experience with DoD Software Factories such as Platform One, Kessel Run, or Army Software Factory.
- Preferred experience with Iron Bank onboarding, Repo One merge requests, VAT findings, and automated container hardening.
- Practical knowledge of the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design and CNSSI requirements.
- Must be local to Maryland and able to commute to and work on-site at Ft. Meade as required.
