Responsibilities
- Establish requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex cross-platform native software projects.
- Design and develop high-performance product software using modern C++.
- Review and refine software architecture, real-time image-processing pipelines, and inter-process communication on resource-constrained camera hardware.
- Conduct code reviews and address quality issues using clang-tidy, clang-format, and SonarQube.
- Use and mentor others on agentic AI programming tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Develop tests, documentation, custom tools, and scripts for cross-compilation, analysis, debugging, and automated testing.
- Provide technical recommendations, independently solve complex problems, and mentor junior personnel.
- Collaborate with senior internal and external personnel and maintain frequent inter-organizational and customer contacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Preferred 5+ years of work experience.
- Expert proficiency in modern C++, including C++17, C++20, and C++23, multithreading, CMake, and dependency management with Conan or vcpkg.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cross-platform development on Linux and Windows, inter-process communication, and GenAI or agentic AI tools in the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with testing strategies using GTest and advanced native-code debugging tools such as gdb, valgrind, and sanitizers.
- Ability to optimize concurrent software and address multithreading portability issues on target hardware.
- Preferred exposure to machine vision libraries, Node.js N-API, DBus, ZeroMQ, or Boost.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, independent judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a performance-sensitive environment.
