Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and design new DynamoDB capabilities.
- Implement, review, test, launch, and operate software for a large-scale distributed database system.
- Solve complex distributed-systems problems involving scale, performance, replication, backups, and encryption.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, incremental feature launches, and operational support.
- Mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- At least 3 years of experience building complex software systems.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
