Responsibilities
- Build maintainable, testable, performant software features and components across all application layers.
- Develop backend and frontend functionality using server-side and client-side programming languages.
- Create unit, integration, and automated acceptance tests and apply test-driven development practices.
- Design data storage and access strategies and contribute to data import, export, and analytics initiatives.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and support REST services and microservices using operational data and tools.
- Apply secure coding, security protocols, threat modeling, and appropriate protection of sensitive healthcare information.
- Enhance user-facing software, follow UX guidelines, and make cost-effective feature and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with teammates, influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and drive innovation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or IT.
- Experience with one or more server-side programming languages; Java with Spring Boot is preferred.
- Experience with one or more client-side programming languages; JavaScript with React is preferred.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices.
- Experience using cloud services for storage and compute and applying infrastructure-as-code practices; AWS experience is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases; non-relational databases and messaging systems are a plus.
- Strong self-learning, technical curiosity, collaboration, mentoring, innovation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
