Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance application systems and programs using established applications development procedures and programming concepts.
- Analyze and interpret code, identify system enhancements, and recommend and implement programming solutions.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups on application issues and support customer-facing systems.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and conduct testing and debugging.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and serve as a subject matter expert to stakeholders and team members.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and resolve issues with limited direct supervision while managing risk and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with UI development and Java.
- Good understanding of Python programming.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and changing requirements.
