Lead Software Engineer - Senior Full-stack Developer (Angular/Node JS/Typescript)

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deliver full-stack software using Angular, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and unit, functional, and integration tests.
- Lead the US regional team of three developers and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery aligned with global engineering practices.
- Set team priorities and expectations, monitor commitments, and provide structured updates on progress, results, risks, and blockers.
- Review code, mentor developers, and promote engineering standards and continuous improvement.
- Use and champion AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting while validating outputs.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager on roadmap alignment and sprint planning.
- Coordinate delivery risks, dependencies, and resourcing concerns with global stakeholders.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and promote modern tools, patterns, and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience delivering production software.
- Hands-on experience across the software development life cycle, including system design, application development, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support.
- Proven Angular experience, including state management and testing with Testing Library.
- Experience building RESTful APIs with Node.js and TypeScript and maintaining unit, functional, and integration tests.
- Experience leading or coordinating other developers with accountability for delivery consistency and quality.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including global or distributed teams.
- Experience working in agile teams, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and facilitating or running ceremonies.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.
- Preferred experience with React alongside Angular.
- Preferred experience leading distributed or regional teams in global engineering organizations.
- Preferred experience with Python for backend services or tooling.
- Proficiency with Figma or similar design and prototyping tools.
- Experience with application risk, controls compliance, and resiliency requirements in regulated financial services or enterprise technology environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code practices, and API documentation standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
