Base Salary
$95k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Validate Power BI and SSRS dashboards and reports using large datasets and business data sources.
- Review requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria to establish comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, document, and execute manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
- Use SQL, T-SQL, and Snowflake to validate data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and automated scripts for functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Maintain test documentation and results using Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities against project timelines.
- Identify, track, and validate defects through resolution with development teams.
- Perform risk-based, exploratory, and edge-case testing and provide QA sign-off on data extracts and report updates.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation frameworks, and test coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing of scalable applications.
- Experience with SSRS, SQL, relational databases, Power BI or comparable data visualization platforms, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and accountability skills.
- Preferred experience with Java, C#, .NET, Python, Postman, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, C#, TypeScript, JMeter, and Azure DevOps.
- Preferred experience with REST API testing, web/UI automation, performance testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
