Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements to understand software problems, functionality, interfaces, and overall software characteristics.
- Write software code using programming, scripting, and database languages.
- Support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and software evolution activities.
- Correct programming errors, respond to scope changes, and code software enhancements.
- Apply software development practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Continuously improve day-to-day activities and processes, share best practices, and develop appropriate solutions.
- Potentially lead junior coworkers and set day-to-day operational objectives.
Requirements
- Professional or university degree is typically required.
- Approximately 1–2 years of practical professional experience in a particular area is typically expected.
- Ability to execute established software development standards independently within defined parameters.
- Knowledge of programming, scripting, and/or database languages and software development practices.
