Responsibilities
- Build and maintain React-based Responsible Gaming tools and user-facing interfaces.
- Write maintainable Java backend code for APIs and services processing high volumes of signals, events, and enforcement actions.
- Develop scalable APIs, services, and database-backed functionality across the full stack.
- Deliver scoped features, fixes, improvements, tests, documentation, and code reviews with support from experienced engineers.
- Investigate bugs and support issues and improve service reliability, observability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and compliance stakeholders on platform safety and integrity improvements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with React or a similar component-based frontend framework.
- Understanding of Java or a similar object-oriented language and interest in backend services and APIs.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL, including an interest in data modeling, performance, and scaling.
- Awareness of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Interest in distributed systems, reliability, monitoring, and high-traffic production systems.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, containers, or CI/CD is helpful but not required.
- Understanding of testing basics and willingness to write tests as part of everyday development.
- Interest in trust and safety, fraud detection, compliance systems, or platform integrity is preferred but not required.
- Collaborative, curious, practical, and receptive to feedback, with a willingness to learn and improve code and documentation.
