Responsibilities
- Own the React and TypeScript web client, frontend architecture, component system, and contracts with agent-service teams.
- Build interfaces for streaming, partial, revised, failed, and uncertain language-model output, including generated views and user actions.
- Ensure AI agents act only with explicit user consent and provide transparent explanations of what they did and why.
- Advance the interface toward Lit and Web Components, including standards-based component architecture.
- Implement accessibility, performance, automated testing, observability, and browser security as core product concerns.
- Work across service boundaries, write needed service-side code, ship changes, and operate the product in production.
- Help shape and document emerging protocols including AG-UI, A2UI, and MCP Apps.
Requirements
- Substantial production experience building and operating single-page applications with deep TypeScript and React or Angular experience.
- Experience building language-model product surfaces with streaming, partial output, cancellation, retries, and uncertainty handling.
- Experience with component architecture and design-system work in shared codebases, including web components used within React.
- Practical browser-security knowledge including iframe sandboxing, postMessage, Content Security Policy, and sanitizing untrusted content.
- Accessibility experience and the ability to describe performance work using quantitative results.
- Experience with automated testing, observability, continuous delivery, and asynchronous state management.
- Ability to work across the frontend/service boundary and write service-side code; prior Go or Python experience is not required.
- Clear technical writing, including architecture decision records and protocol documentation.
- Experience with Lit, Web Components, shadow DOM, custom elements, MCP, MCP Apps, AG-UI, or A2UI is valuable.
- Additional valuable experience includes expression languages or compilers, data- or metadata-configured platforms, data visualization, mobile or progressive web applications, offline behavior, voice interfaces, and enterprise domains such as asset management, field service, manufacturing, or supply chain.
- Comfort working with AI coding agents as part of the development process.
