Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex middleware applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect and optimize database interactions involving Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices and improve application scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and related delivery automation.
- Use AI tools for code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, vulnerability scanning, database optimization, and incident analysis.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, operations, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver software.
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Research and evaluate AI technologies that can improve software development productivity and quality.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, architectural, and security standards.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and support system stability, performance, and operational needs.
- Contribute to middleware platform strategy, technical roadmaps, feasibility studies, estimates, risk analysis, and model development.
- Monitor development lifecycle phases from analysis through implementation and provide user and operational support.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of relevant applications development experience.
- Strong Java expertise, including multithreading, collections, garbage collection, and JVM internals.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong SQL and Oracle experience, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with MongoDB data modeling, querying, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Git and standard branching strategies such as Gitflow.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito and with integration testing.
- Practical exposure to Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Anti Gravity, and Codex.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and integrating AI into software development workflows.
- Experience with systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, including AI-driven development projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- AI certification is a plus.
- Ability to manage deadlines, pressure, and changing requirements.
