Responsibilities
- Own the architectural integrity of the product and stand behind shipped software.
- Take responsibility for code quality, security, and scalability across AI-generated code.
- Build hands-on in Git using AI development tooling and harden products as they approach general availability.
- Direct and verify generated code and identify issues before release.
- Decide what is safe to ship and what requires deeper review.
- Document context in the shared system for the Founder and operating team.
- Translate product intent into feasible technical implementation with the non-technical Founder.
Requirements
- Proven experience shipping production software and owning its real-world reliability and security.
- Senior engineering judgment for directing and verifying high volumes of AI-generated code.
- Fluency or rapidly developing fluency with AI-assisted development.
- Ability to independently own security and scalability without relying on a platform team.
- Product mindset focused on customer outcomes, not merely code compilation.
- Ability to move at pilot pace without sacrificing scalability and reliability.
