Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack Java applications, including new development, migrations, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Build responsive React applications using TypeScript in collaboration with UX teams.
- Design and develop APIs, data models, and database solutions for front-end and partner integrations.
- Develop and review automated unit, component, and scenario testing protocols before user acceptance.
- Write technical specifications, analyze user needs, and participate in software design ceremonies.
- Complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Mentor or guide less experienced software engineers.
- Maintain knowledge of current web development standards and perform related duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- At least 4 years of software engineering work experience; 4–7+ years is highly preferred.
- Experience with Java and/or J2EE development technologies.
- Experience developing React front-end applications with TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with Java JVM applications running in AWS and/or OpenShift.
- Proficiency with RESTful API development, microservices applications, and PostgreSQL databases with PL/SQL.
- Experience with SSO and familiarity with source-code management tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira, or Git.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines and proficiency with unit, component, scenario, test-driven, or behavior-driven development techniques.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
