Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance services with other engineers while following industry best practices.
- Work with product teams and users of SRE tooling to understand needs, develop and implement solutions, and measure their impact.
- Improve infrastructure observability with dashboards, alerts, and documentation.
- Contribute automation that reduces repetitive operational work.
- Use AI coding agents in daily workflows and help assess their effectiveness.
- Collaborate through pair programming to build shared understanding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering or a related STEM discipline, a completed coding bootcamp, or equivalent practical experience.
- Some hands-on experience writing code in any language.
- Willingness to read and debug unfamiliar languages, with likely work in TypeScript and Go and exposure to Ruby, Kotlin, and Python in product teams.
- Exposure to at least one cloud provider, particularly AWS or GCP.
- Curiosity about system failures and the ability to investigate problems deeply.
- Clear communication, initiative, self-motivation, growth mindset, and alignment with company values.
- Openness to using AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
