Base Salary
$231k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale a developer platform with CI/CD systems, test frameworks, and reliable development environments.
- Build load-testing and benchmarking infrastructure for evaluating and optimizing AI-native application performance.
- Integrate AI agents across the software development, deployment, and maintenance lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Backend Platform teams to improve testability, reliability, and observability.
- Gather feedback from engineering teams, promote best practices, and establish a paved road for development workflows.
- Set the strategic direction and roadmap for Developer Experience as Harvey scales.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while maintaining a high bar for engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including experience building scalable backend systems or internal developer platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages, with deep knowledge of backend development fundamentals and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as Buildkite and GitHub Actions, test frameworks, or load and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Pulumi, and Terraform.
- Track record of producing high-quality, well-tested code and following software development best practices.
- Proven technical leadership across ideation, design, implementation, and productionization.
- Experience mentoring engineers, guiding architectural decisions, and shaping engineering culture.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, along with a passion for improving developer experience.
- Experience integrating AI agents into a developer ecosystem is a strong plus.
