Responsibilities
- Articulate F5 product strategy, messaging, positioning, value propositions, and solutions aligned with customer business objectives.
- Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept in person and virtually.
- Mentor and educate sales teams on the value of F5 solutions and customer business drivers.
- Determine opportunity viability and map organizational structures and technical decision-makers.
- Drive the sales process with account managers by securing technical validation, support, and sponsorship.
- Deliver customer service throughout the customer lifecycle and collaborate with internal technical and sales resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, electrical engineering, or management information systems, or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a Sales Engineer and at least 8 years of professional experience.
- Experience with traffic management and load-balancing technologies such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, or Kemp.
- Knowledge of HTTP, web servers, web applications, networking technologies, Internet security products and services, and Linux/UNIX-based systems.
- Knowledge of protocols including TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, and DNS.
- Experience with cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience or knowledge of microservices architectures and tools such as Kubernetes and Docker, as well as API development or management.
- Experience in DevOps environments and working with enterprise customers in the financial services sector.
- Technical knowledge of intelligent load balancing, application acceleration, application request routing, web serving, dynamic content caching, and SSL and compression offload.
