Responsibilities
- Own software features end-to-end from initial design through production deployment.
- Build and scale VoIP systems supporting AI-powered phone services for local businesses.
- Influence system architecture and collaborate closely with product and design teams.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues in VoIP infrastructure.
- Help maintain reliable VoIP systems as the platform scales.
- Share knowledge, review code, and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to define and deliver problems end-to-end rather than only executing tickets.
- Experience identifying and resolving bottlenecks and performance issues within VoIP infrastructure.
- Experience with VoIP platforms such as FreeSwitch, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, or Asterisk.
- Daily hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
