Base Salary

$120k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate foundational cloud infrastructure rolled out across the enterprise, owning significant systems end to end.
  • Build and operate multi-cloud account structures, guardrails, shared networking, and identity foundations.
  • Create self-service workflows for provisioning accounts, bootstrapping resources, and deploying onto governed paved roads.
  • Author and maintain reusable infrastructure-as-code for other engineering teams.
  • Contribute to enterprise CI/CD, testing, deployment, and adoption standards.
  • Evaluate cloud services, infrastructure tooling, and platforms and inform build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship through code review, design discussions, and pairing.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and IT teams to meet government security and compliance requirements across data classification levels.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Requirements

  • Typically 5+ years of software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
  • Production experience building, deploying, and operating applications on cloud platforms and understanding the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience authoring reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and infrastructure, such as with Terraform.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD, continuous testing, and deployment practices.
  • Depth in CI/CD and build/release tooling, cloud networking, infrastructure-as-code, or developer platforms, with familiarity across the other areas.
  • Experience owning systems end to end, exercising design judgment, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Working knowledge of HTTP, ports, DNS, firewalls, security groups, and cloud networking primitives.
  • Preferred experience includes enterprise-scale infrastructure, containers, orchestration, service mesh, artifact and registry management, developer experience, government cloud, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, IL4/IL5, regulated environments, enterprise networks, observability, reliability engineering, IAM, and secrets management.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance are required; an active Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. Government space technology export and ITAR eligibility requirements.

  • Hybrid work arrangement in Long Beach, California, or Denver, Colorado, with an average expectation of at least three days per week in the office.
  • Onsite requirements may increase when work on classified systems is required.
