Base Salary

$125k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Scope, plan, and lead delivery of large-scale features and roadmap initiatives.
  • Clarify requirements and navigate ambiguity and competing stakeholder interests.
  • Lead technical problem-solving for complex cross-team challenges and production issues.
  • Contribute to architectural planning and system design across frontend and backend systems.
  • Improve code reviews, architecture, testing, deployment, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to align priorities and delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, pairing, and feedback.
  • Champion engineering best practices and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, architectures, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of progressive software engineering experience with leadership experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices and architectures.
  • Strong track record of scoping, delivering, and evolving large-scale features.
  • Experience with both frontend and backend technologies, with a polyglot mindset preferred.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, strategic problem-solving, adaptability, mentoring ability, and commitment to technical excellence.

  • Salary range is $125,000–$205,000 USD for candidates in the US and $110,000–$160,000 CAD for candidates in Canada.
