Responsibilities
- Lead presales and pursuit architecture and solutioning for mid- to large-scale pursuits.
- Harvest client requirements and translate them into solutions aligned with client objectives and EY capabilities.
- Create end-to-end solution architectures, current-state and transition architectures, target roadmaps, and RFP responses.
- Provide technology presales thought leadership during deal development, pursuit, and close phases.
- Assess delivery feasibility, costs, technology risks, and gaps, and develop mitigation or avoidance strategies.
- Collaborate with SAP product owners, business owners, delivery teams, Global Delivery Services, and technology product teams.
- Establish presales standards, guidelines, procedures, templates, and reference models.
- Influence product backlogs and priorities based on findings from presales and pursuit engagements.
- Coach business owners and pursuit leads, contribute to the presales community, and assist with onboarding new architects.
- Maintain relationships with delivery and competence-center teams and verify that implemented solutions follow approved designs throughout the application lifecycle.
- Document pursuit architecture and technology roadmaps using approved architecture tooling and standards.
- Regularly interact with global customers, partners, and internal stakeholders and travel internationally and domestically.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in technology, business development, and thought leadership.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in deal development, architecture and strategy, or technology startup environments.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-technology, data, and analytics deals.
- Broad expertise across applications, infrastructure, digital, security, data, application, and integration architecture.
- Experience responding to RFPs, shaping client proposals, writing solutions, and delivering client presentations.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and ability to work with global audiences and different cultures.
- Strong business acumen, strategic customer relationship development, technical leadership, influence, negotiation, and change-management skills.
- Ability to identify technical risks and develop mitigation and avoidance strategies.
- Experience working in offshore/onsite models and as an individual contributor who can influence without authority.
- Experience or certifications in Agile Delivery and DevOps is desirable.
- TOGAF or IASA architectural training or certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 service strategy and service design is an advantage.
- Knowledge of industry solutions and products, portfolio management, and technology roadmapping is desirable.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $138,200 to $266,000 in most US geographic locations, with a separate range of $165,800 to $302,300 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.
