Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support data pipelines and applications on Palantir Foundry.
- Configure and customize Foundry Workshop forms, workflows, applications, and ontology-based interactions.
- Write TypeScript for dynamic Workshop forms, including validation, user interactions, and ontology data binding.
- Build and optimize PySpark, Python, and SQL jobs and scalable data architectures.
- Ingest data from external source systems and implement ELT/ETL migration, data refinement, data quality, and CDC strategies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, design teams, stakeholders, and clients on requirements, deployment, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, communicate technical solutions, and assist junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience is required; the detailed Lead Data Engineer role states a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Data Connection, Code Repository, Contour, Data Lineage, and Health Checks.
- Proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL, TypeScript, and Spark performance tuning.
- Experience building data pipelines, managing structured and unstructured data, handling CSV, JSON, Parquet, and ORC files, and working with large datasets.
- Experience with Workshop, Forms, Workflows, Ontology, Slate, data synchronization, and external data ingestion.
- Preferred experience includes test-driven development, CI/CD workflows, Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, troubleshooting, and code-quality skills.
