Responsibilities

Design, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize ABB PLC-based control systems for ship-to-shore cranes.
Develop automation logic using ABB Automation Builder, Control Builder, and IEC 61131-3 languages.
Integrate PLCs with HMI/SCADA systems for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and remote support.
Support system commissioning, testing, documentation, site installations, and port-terminal operations.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum three years of experience in industrial PLC programming.
Strong proficiency with ABB PLCs, including AC500 and AC800M, and related tools.
Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet industrial communication protocols.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Willingness to travel for site installations and commissioning.
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, or other PLC platforms is advantageous.
Knowledge of ship-to-shore crane systems, motion control, safety interlocks, SCADA systems, HMI development, remote diagnostics, marine terminal operations, or container handling equipment is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
