Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging opportunities in ML/AI, edge computing, and adjacent technologies.
- Conceptualize, code, architect, test, document, and validate solution prototypes and proofs of concept.
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to turn validated ideas into production-ready features.
- Identify and resolve technical and architectural bottlenecks.
- Engage customers, partners, and prospects to co-develop solutions and understand unmet needs.
- Build reference and lighthouse accounts through early access to breakthrough capabilities.
- Influence product roadmaps and feature prioritization based on customer insights.
- Collaborate across product management, engineering, marketing, and field teams in a matrixed environment.
- Participate in standards bodies and open-source communities.
- Author and present on emerging technologies, innovation frameworks, and breakthrough solutions.
- Evangelize Extreme's AI-powered networking and edge-intelligence strategy to customers, prospects, and the market.
- Help commercialize innovations and establish thought leadership.
Requirements
- Proven success owning GenAI and multi-agent solutions from ideation through productization in a large corporation or startup.
- Proven experience building an engineering team for GenAI and multi-agent solutions.
- Proven experience delivering complex AI and data-centric projects outside the networking market.
- Fluency in at least one programming language, with Python, Java, or Go expertise highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ML/AI principles, emerging architectures, and practical enterprise applications.
- Understanding of edge computing, distributed systems, and cloud networking architectures.
- Knowledge of efficient data structures, query optimization, and analytics technologies.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate third-party technologies and frameworks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives and customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in networking, security, or cloud platforms is preferred.
- Participation in open-source projects or standards bodies, product management or go-to-market experience, published thought leadership or industry conference speaking, and experience with MLOps, data platforms, or analytics systems are preferred.
