Base Salary

$138k - $259k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable backend systems for public-sector customers.
  • Own services and systems, define long-term health goals, and improve surrounding components.
  • Re-architect the stack for compliant, restrictive, air-gapped, and isolated environments.
  • Design swappable authentication, storage, and logging components to meet government and security mandates.
  • Build integration tests with Product to detect failures upstream and reduce infrastructure-only debugging.
  • Participate in customer engagements and collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Contribute to the platform roadmap and product strategy for Scale AI’s public-sector business.
  • Lead technical discussions with cloud vendors and customers and debug platform issues involving inference, networking, latency, and usage metrics.

Requirements

  • An active Secret clearance and the ability and willingness to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly are required.
  • Proficiency in both frontend and backend development, including modern web development frameworks, programming languages, and databases.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications in cloud-native environments is desired.
  • Experience delivering software to air-gapped and isolated environments is a plus.
  • Experience with federal compliance frameworks and requirements, including Cloud SRG, FedRAMP, and STIG Benchmarks, is desired.
  • Experience developing software and technical solutions that satisfy strict security and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, adaptability, and learning agility skills.
