Base Salary

$120k - $304k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in security design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing for Microsoft services.
  • Build reusable agents and tools to improve the consistency and quality of security reviews.
  • Review deployments and code for security defects and architectural risks using automated tools.
  • Demonstrate the real-world impact of security flaws to support prioritization and fix validation.
  • Serve as the security contact for teams developing new products and services.
  • Apply adversarial thinking to bypass security controls and develop scalable security protections.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and communicate the value of security investments.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4+ years of experience in security or a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of experience in security or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
  • Preferred: 2+ years identifying vulnerabilities in online services and deployment misconfigurations.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of software engineering or security-related engineering experience.
  • Preferred: a public track record of relevant security research, especially vulnerability discovery.
