Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and align solutions with business goals.
- Design and deliver AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and enterprise integrations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and continuous learning.
- Drive software development best practices, including coding standards, testing, release processes, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting system stability and performance.
- Contribute to software architecture evolution and identify opportunities for modernization and innovation.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from conceptualization through deployment and maintenance.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies, tools, frameworks, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive software development experience delivering successful projects.
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or Go.
- Strong experience building full-stack applications using Angular, React, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Proficiency designing and building RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management tools.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted software development.
- Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities, intelligent automation, or conversational applications into enterprise platforms is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI, or GCP Agent Development Kit is preferred.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications is preferred.
- Insurance or financial services industry experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, independent work, and collaboration skills.

- Hybrid work arrangement requiring office attendance three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.
- Hybrid office locations are Columbus, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Hartford, Connecticut; or Charlotte, North Carolina.
