Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver key product features in collaboration with the Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager.
- Design and operate distributed systems and infrastructure for integrations and configuration platforms at high volume.
- Own the reliability of developed features through unit testing, integration testing, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Communicate asynchronously by providing updates, discussing challenges, and proposing solutions.
Requirements
- At least four years of backend engineering experience designing, building, and operating production distributed systems with Python and Go.
- End-to-end platform ownership, including system design, delivery, feature development, and operational responsibilities at scale.
- Expertise with low-latency, high-throughput systems, SQL/NoSQL databases, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response.
- Ability to write technical design documents, make architectural trade-offs, and influence cross-team technical direction.
- Strong written communication, autonomy, ownership, and ability to collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams.
- Detail-oriented commitment to code quality, testing, performance, and maintainable systems.
- At least two years of programming experience in Go is preferred.
- Experience with AWS services and deployment practices and leading a small team to build a feature or component from scratch is preferred.
