Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, end-to-end, regression, and API tests.
- Maintain and enhance the in-house automation framework for stability, speed, and readability.
- Translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios, test plans, and reusable automation code.
- Develop stable locator and wait strategies and diagnose common automation failures.
- Integrate automated tests into build and release pipelines and support manual testing when needed.
- Communicate testing progress, results, decisions, and risks to product, technology, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in refinement, planning, reviews, demos, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining test automation frameworks.
- At least 1 year of experience manually testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and a test framework such as Cucumber.
- Working knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with locator strategies, wait strategies, version control, code reviews, and feature branching.
- Experience with continuous integration and build tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
- Preferred experience includes financial services, credit card products, modern front ends and shadow roots, external tools or data sources, cloud platforms, Unix-based environments, and Python.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain testing decisions, results, and risks.
