Base Salary
$102k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Static Single Assignment intermediate-representation-based compiler infrastructure and compiler components.
- Design hardware-specific domain-specific languages and the Bloqade SDK.
- Integrate existing simulation tools with the compiler pipeline and cloud service.
- Collaborate with QuEra scientists and external customers to meet use-case requirements.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science focused on quantum computation, architecture, programming languages, or compilers, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with Python semantics, Python type hints, and the CPython interpreter.
- Experience with at least one compiled language and its type system, such as C++, Julia, Rust, Haskell, or OCaml.
- Experience developing compilers based on Static Single Assignment intermediate representations.
- Knowledge of software development practices including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, logging, profiling, debugging, and documentation.
- Knowledge of quantum computing basics, including common quantum algorithms and quantum information theory.
- Preferred: experience with LLVM or MLIR, programming language theory, quantum program optimization, quantum error correction, open-source library contributions, and circuit simulation tools such as Cirq, Qiskit, or CUDA Quantum.
