Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable Playwright automation suites for web, API, and mobile testing.
- Use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Playwright agents to generate test plans, cases, page objects, and test data, then validate and harden the results.
- Reduce flaky tests and maintenance costs through resilient locators, self-healing approaches, and automated failure triage.
- Integrate automated tests, quality gates, parallel execution, and reporting into GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Maintain functional, regression, API, and performance/load testing coverage using tools such as Postman, JMeter, and k6.
- Perform exploratory testing and develop risk-based strategies across automated, AI-assisted, and manual coverage.
- Define testing approaches for non-deterministic AI-powered experiences, including search and recommendations.
- Convert escaped defects into automated regression tests and track coverage, escape rate, flake rate, and test cycle time.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams on quality practices, API contract checks, AI-assisted code review, and SDLC improvements.
- Mentor QA engineers on automation and responsible AI-assisted testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience, including 3+ years building and maintaining test automation in CI/CD.
- Hands-on Playwright experience for web and API end-to-end automation; Cypress or Selenium experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot scalable and reliable test suites and frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python; Java is a plus.
- Day-to-day experience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to write, refactor, and debug test code while validating AI-generated output.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions, including parallel execution, reporting, and quality gates.
- Experience with functional, regression, API, and performance/load testing using Postman, JMeter, k6, or equivalent tools.
- Strong exploratory testing skills and experience creating risk-based test strategies.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile practices and defect lifecycle management using Jira and TestRail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under a steady release cadence with minimal supervision.
- E-commerce QA automation experience is preferred.
- Experience with agentic testing workflows, AI test generation, self-healing tests, MCP-connected tools, or LLM-based failure triage is preferred.
- Experience testing AI/ML-powered features and evaluating non-deterministic output is preferred.
- Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar cloud device and browser grids is preferred.
- Experience with Grafana or GCP-based infrastructure and using production signals to prioritize test coverage is preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are preferred.
