Base Salary
$91k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define MCA software revision and release scope, including system-level requirements, documentation updates, design reviews, and verification and validation plans.
- Lead end-to-end oversight of MCA software releases to ensure system-level requirements are satisfied through appropriate validation testing.
- Develop risk mitigation activities before software release and communicate program and project progress across the organization.
- Provide primary support for software installation on customer locomotives in field and factory environments.
- Estimate engineering effort, manage multiple priorities, set and meet milestones, and drive projects to completion.
- Lead and motivate technical personnel while strengthening teams and increasing organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of safety-critical controls or embedded controls experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve product problems in high-pressure environments.
- Project or program management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, integrity, and demonstrated technical leadership.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, knowledge of INCOSE systems engineering practices and Model-Based Systems Engineering, detailed MCA control-system knowledge, and at least 5 years of locomotive systems engineering experience across new product development, requisition, and installed-base product support.
