Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, test, evaluate, and maintain integrated computer hardware and software systems.
- Manage system architecture, integration, programming, development, reviews, audits, testing, configuration management, requirements, and changes.
- Provide programming support using Java, C, C++, and Python.
- Provide scripting support using Perl and Shell.
- Execute software projects across the full software design lifecycle from requirements gathering through production.
- Develop software that interfaces with external devices.
- Use logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition tools for testing.
- Debug complex systems and conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, with qualifying mathematics, statistics, and computer science coursework potentially accepted in lieu of a Computer Science degree depending on qualifications and experience.
- 0–3 years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for model and tool development.
- Working knowledge of high-level languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby is preferred.
- Experience with shell scripting using sh or bash is preferred.
- Understanding of testing throughout all phases of the software development process is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, have resided in the United States for three consecutive years, and provide a Real ID or current U.S. passport to obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.
- Must live or be willing to relocate within commuting distance of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City.
- Non-U.S. degrees must have a U.S. Equivalency Certificate at application.
- Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is desired.
