Base Salary

$108k - $286k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and maintain production code and technical documentation.
  • Interact daily with the npm community, consumers, and contributors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, design, and develop features aligned with business objectives and user needs.
  • Triage and remediate bugs and security vulnerabilities.
  • Steward impactful JavaScript open-source projects supporting npm and the global package registry.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering, computer science, or related technical experience, or an associate degree with 3+ years, a bachelor's degree with 2+ years, a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud services.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging large-scale projects, applications, or developer tools.
  • Proven production software experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of Node.js experience.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of cloud services experience, including AWS development.
  • Preferred: experience building applications to high security standards.
  • Preferred: experience using AI-assisted coding and productivity tools.
