Responsibilities
- Evaluate validation and verification tools for certification objectives across DO-178C Design Assurance Levels.
- Assess software tool qualification requirements and develop test frameworks for certified and non-certified workflows.
- Implement automation for continuous integration and regression testing.
- Develop system-level tests for RTOS functionality, performance, and timing behavior.
- Create and execute V&V test cases traceable to system and software requirements.
- Collaborate with systems, software engineers, architects, technical leads, and global engineering teams to ensure requirements coverage.
- Improve RTOS products and testing processes within Agile Scrum teams.
Requirements
- BTech, MTech, or equivalent technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing, verification, or validation.
- Understanding of RTOS concepts including scheduling, concurrency, determinism, and resource management.
- Proficiency in test automation and framework development using technologies such as Python, C, or C++.
- Experience with DO-178C or DO-178B software lifecycle and verification objectives is preferred.
- Familiarity with DO-330 tool qualification, requirements-based testing, traceability, static analysis, model-based testing, formal methods, and structural coverage techniques is preferred.
- Experience with RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, RTEMS, Zephyr, or FreeRTOS is preferred.
- Familiarity with verification tools such as VectorCAST, LDRA, Parasoft, or Rapita is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and firmware bring-up or boot-up is preferred.
