Base Salary
$160k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing services.
- Own distributed tracing end to end, including instrumentation, context propagation, and trace-based diagnosis.
- Build data capture, collection, metrics ingestion, alerting, dashboard lifecycle, and real-time and batch processing systems.
- Instrument AI-powered workflows for performance, cost, quality, and multi-step orchestration.
- Apply anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, and automated root-cause analysis to observability systems.
- Define SLOs, SLIs, and production-readiness criteria with product and application teams.
- Deploy infrastructure components to production, evaluate cloud-native tools, and participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering and design experience for the senior-level role.
- At least 7 years of coding experience in Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Linux, distributed tracing concepts, tracing tools, time-series databases, document stores, and log collection systems.
- Experience with AWS or GCP and native observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch and GCP Cloud Operations.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, service mesh, Prometheus, and cloud-native technologies.
- Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and agentic AI build patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, technical, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
