Base Salary
$106k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform for reliable, scalable cloud environments.
- Implement and improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Perform deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, and related tools.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows to reduce manual intervention.
- Evaluate system designs for reliability, performance, security, and efficiency.
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis, implementing long-term technical solutions.
- Maintain runbooks, procedures, and documentation for incident response and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical designs and SRE practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle critical incidents.
- Manage production infrastructure, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of technical experience with ownership of production infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure in production environments.
- Expertise with cloud provider-hosted infrastructure, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency in Python, Terraform, and containerization technologies.
- Demonstrated success with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, and GitHub.
- Experience with monitoring and incident-management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, CloudWatch, and Sumo Logic.
- Extensive understanding of networking and security concepts.
- Preferred experience with New Relic or DataDog observability and familiarity with OpenTelemetry, AIOps, MLOps, or SecOps.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead cross-functional work.
