Software Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify problems and improve coding hygiene, software applications, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle knowledge and support application resiliency and operational stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile development practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies preferred.
