Base Salary
$167k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, planning, delivery, launch, and long-term maintenance of large frontend and full-stack initiatives.
- Set technical direction for frontend architecture and full-stack patterns while owning a 3–6 month roadmap.
- Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to build scalable, high-quality borrower experiences.
- Improve component and API design, state management, testing, observability, performance, and operational rigor.
- Break down ambiguous problems into clear, testable plans and use data to guide scope, performance, and user-experience tradeoffs.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
- Contribute to effective uses of AI in development workflows and product capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep proficiency with React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Full-stack experience designing and building backend services and APIs with Python, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Experience independently leading large, business-critical frontend or full-stack projects into production.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and communicate technical tradeoffs with product, design, and engineering partners.
- Preferred experience as a frontend or full-stack technical lead for a product team or business-critical product surface.
- Preferred experience building large-scale consumer products with attention to performance, accessibility, and user experience.
- Preferred background in fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated financial products.
- Preferred experience with experimentation, A/B testing, feature flagging, modern frontend tooling, testing frameworks, and generative AI in products or engineering workflows.
