Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software used worldwide by Amazon’s transportation partners.
- Build and operate web services backing mobile applications, including at massive scale.
- Participate in the planning and execution of technology projects.
- Contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
- Interact regularly with engineering and business leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers in strong design and implementation practices.
- Build software that achieves operational goals while supporting safety, reliability, performance, compliance, trust, and delivery quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
