Base Salary
$133k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Translate functional requirements into system designs, communicate component interactions, and align delivery with business needs and timelines.
- Design and develop product components, refine implementation plans, and lead design reviews.
- Estimate project delivery costs and escalate issues that may cause delays.
- Create, implement, and maintain extensible, reusable code while driving code quality through metrics and best practices.
- Debug moderately complex issues and identify automation opportunities across products.
- Lead code reviews and provide feedback on coding standards and implementation quality.
- Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and address defects proactively.
- Use data analysis and monitoring standards to identify patterns and defects across environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with incident response and resolution.
- Build and enhance developer tools for programs and applications.
- Keep current with emerging technologies and recommend technical resources and solutions to other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, no work experience with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred experience includes 6 or more years with a Bachelor's Degree, 4 or more years with an advanced degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
- Deep expertise in Spring Boot for microservices and APIs and Spring Security for OAuth/JWT authentication.
- Full-stack experience building responsive user interfaces with Angular or React and core web technologies.
- Proficiency designing, querying, and optimizing relational SQL and NoSQL data layers.
- Experience using Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise workflows.
- Experience developing or implementing web-based or mobile applications and enterprise-scale web services.
- Experience in software engineering or a related field, product development, debugging, testing procedures, code review, coding standards, developer tools, and container-based technologies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working on client-facing projects or technical teams.
- Experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.
