Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for microcontrollers and Embedded Linux systems.
  • Implement firmware for bare-metal and Zephyr RTOS environments.
  • Develop communication protocols and network interfaces for Ethernet-connected devices.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate firmware with robotic control systems.
  • Perform hardware and software debugging using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Support system-level integration, testing, product verification, performance optimization, and field troubleshooting.
  • Document firmware architecture, design decisions, testing, and revisions according to engineering standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded firmware design and development.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and real-time operating systems, preferably Zephyr.
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet-based communication and TCP/IP networking.
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware, schematics, and digital/analog interfaces.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred qualifications include robotic systems or motion control firmware experience, Git familiarity, knowledge of SPI, I2C, and CAN, and experience with system-level debugging and embedded product development cycles.
  • Ability to work in office and production environments, lift up to 50 pounds, and use basic tools when needed.
