Responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack features for campaign management, reporting, marketplace optimization, audience tooling, and asset tooling.
- Develop responsive web front ends, backend services, APIs, data models, and scalable marketplace architecture.
- Apply algorithmic problem-solving, backend architecture, low-latency optimization, and performance engineering to high-throughput systems.
- Build and consume APIs that integrate Digital Turbine products into a unified architecture.
- Own services in production, including testing, observability, performance, reliability, and on-call responsibilities.
- Collaborate with product leads and stakeholders on scoping, estimation, and technical decisions within an autonomous pod.
- Mentor teammates and improve engineering standards through code review, automation, and pragmatic architecture.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building and shipping production platforms, with substantial backend architecture, system design, and code optimization experience.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with experience solving complex data-processing or resource-optimization problems.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple languages or ecosystems, such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Scala, or C++.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and backend service design.
- Experience with relational or distributed data stores such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, testing, and system design.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile, ownership-driven environment with limited hand-holding.
- Preferred experience with AWS or GCP, containers, and CI/CD.
- Preferred exposure to AdTech, dashboards or BI surfaces, high-throughput data-driven products, or integrating ML and data services into product workflows.
