Base Salary
$106k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into initial software product designs.
- Develop, maintain, enhance, optimize, test, and integrate non-embedded software products throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
- Create and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, designs, and related documentation.
- Debug software and resolve issues to improve product reliability and efficiency.
- Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
- Implement relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics.
- Execute and document software research and development projects.
- Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C#, and/or Java.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
- At least 1 year of software development experience in a collaborative team using agile principles, structured development processes, code reviews, and automated DevOps tools.
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Preferred qualifications include 5 or more years of related experience for Level 3 or 9 or more years for Level 4, with additional education-and-experience combinations accepted.
- Preferred experience includes ReactJS; Java frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, WildFly, JPA, and Maven; GitLab, Git Bash, Gradle, Jenkins, and Artifactory; Windows, Linux, and AWS; Git and Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.
- Preferred knowledge includes software architecture, requirements derivation and traceability, specification and change-control processes, development and testing processes, validation and verification, and software quality, performance, and safety practices.
- Candidates must complete the required CodeVue technical assessment and satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
