Responsibilities
- Develop and support cash equity algorithmic trading platforms using Java, Rust, or other technologies.
- Conduct EMEA equity market microstructure research and analysis using mathematical finance, statistics, and probability.
- Build backtesting frameworks and prototype quantitative research projects using Python and kdb.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize platform performance for ultra-low latency and high throughput.
- Collaborate with traders, sales trading, execution advisory services, and technology professionals to deliver trading solutions.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to maintain governance and control infrastructure.
- Apply responsible finance, risk management, compliance, ethical judgment, and appropriate supervision in business decisions.
Requirements
- Experience developing or enhancing execution algorithms or working in a comparable quantitative modeling and analytics role.
- Strong programming and technical skills in Java, Python, and kdb.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and quantitative concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
- Master's or PhD degree in Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
- Commitment to compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations and to sound ethical judgment.
- Familiarity with Rust or other modern systems programming languages is beneficial.
- Knowledge of EMEA equity market microstructure and electronic trading dynamics is beneficial.
- Experience with high-frequency data and time-series databases is beneficial.
